holiday affirmations

hello little cherubs, it's upon us, the most wonderful time of the year!!!

the holidays are festive and fun, but let's not forget our affirmations!

here, we are kind to others and most of all kind to ourselves. so here are some holiday affirmations to keep ourselves in check: (list provided from: https://anxiety-gone.com/24-positively-powerful-affirmations-for-holiday-anxiety/)

  • my happiness is one of the greatest gifts i can give

  • i release my memories of the past, they do not exist and are just my thoughts

  • i am worthy of love and acceptance

  • i am worthy of recovery

  • i will put all negativity behind me

  • i will find joy in where i am

  • i am enough

  • i am where i am for a reason

  • i am grateful for my abilities and my gifts

  • i give myself permission to step away and take a break when i become overly stressed or anxious

  • i will focus on the goodness of the season

  • i can only be the best version of me

  • i do not control the actions of others

  • i am not alone. i am surrounded by people who love me

  • i have so many things to be grateful for

  • i deserve to give myself 'me' time

  • i will treat myself with kindness, patience, and understanding

  • i have positive affirmations to get me through the season

  • i am brave and can get through this moment

  • i forgive myself and others who have hurt me

  • i can do this. i've done it before

these affirmation are just the start of becoming confident in our worries. believe it or not, these little phrases go a long way. repeat them in the mirror or sitting in the car before getting out, these phrases becoming etched into our minds really do help. once we become familiar with them and repeat them enough, our minds eventually believe them.

something as simple as these silly little phrases can change someone's whole point of view and set them on track to accomplishing the task in front of them. once you begin to say these affirmations to yourself, you'll begin to notice how you put them into perspective. once you say these phrases, you'll find yourself telling them to others and helping them. so not only are you helping yourself, but you can help others overcome their anxieties as well.

so, the thing that i hope you take away from today's blog post is this: pick one affirmation from the list above. Write it down on a post-it, or on your hand, or the bathroom mirror. memorize it and repeat it to yourself whenever you need it. start with that. if you want to, set a goal of repeating it five times a day, then 10 and so on. see how much one phrase really helps you.

i think you'll be surprised how much they really help.

remember, be kind to your mind and stay safe.
