January {checking-in}

well, we've made it through the first month of the year. YAY we're 1/12th of the way through!

hello cherubs,

welcome back to our monthly installment of checking-in...

we do this, not only to keep ourselves accountable, but to check on one another.

so, let's check in. grab a piece of paper and jot down your answers, or get out your mental journal to record your answers.:

  1. How am I feeling, both mentally and physically?

  2. What's taking up the most of my headspace this very moment?

  3. Have I eaten regular meals and had enough water lately?

  4. Am I getting a healthy amount of sleep?

  5. Am I moving my body enough and have I gotten outside recently?

  6. Have I had too much screen time recently? Do I need a break from social media?

  7. Does anyone else know how I am feeling? Have I connected with a loved one recently?

  8. What's something I am looking forward to?

  9. Am I giving myself enough credit? What's one reason to be proud of myself?

  10. What are five things that I am grateful for?

sit back and decide what is best for you.

should you get help?

should you talk to a friend or parent?

are you stable, mentally and physically?

do you know anyone that might need assistance getting help or needs someone to talk to?

answering these questions not only brings awareness to your feelings and mental health, but allows you to realize how drastic your health may be.

if you're someone that doesn't deal with anxiety, it's hard to understand what someone who does is going through. but if you do know someone who is struggling with the mental illness, ask them how they're doing or if there is anything that you can do to help them...

many people with mental illnesses don't think that there is anyone there to help them.

reaching out and offering assistance is one of the simplest ways to show someone that you are there for them.

so, be that person that sends the text to ask them how they're doing...

be the person that calls and asks if they want to grab lunch...

be the person they can go to when things get rough...

be there for them!

thanks for tuning in to this month's installment of checking-in...I hope it helps someone out there!

if there are any post ideas that you guys want me to talk about, let me know! I am always looking for new ideas.

join us next week for the next blogs!!

xx, Loryn
