*deep breath in*
*deep breath out*
you made it to the end of the year...finally.
does that mean that you get a break, hmm probably not. BUT you made it this far and you're still going. and that is definitely something to be proud of.
sit back and think about everything that you accomplished this year.
reminisce on the good things, forget the bad.
focus on your accomplishments and remember that you are the one who got yourself this far.
most of the time, we don't realize how much we've been through until we sit back and think about it all.
with that being said, think about 5 things you've done this year to make yourself proud.
if that's hard to think about, think about 5 reasons other people would be proud of you. they don't have to be giant accomplishments, they can be simple things like not being late for work or making sure to eat three meals a day.
recognizing that we've done more than just survive this year is the beginning of self-love and self-awareness.
in the coming year here are some things to remember:
you are in control of you
self-care is necessary
mental health is important
nothing lasts forever
you will be okay
write these down as reminders, places you will see them everyday and take them to heart. understand that these affirmations are what can get you through tough times.
you made it through another year, you should be proud of yourself. and if you're not proud of how this year turned out, there is always next year to improve.
thank you guys for hanging out with me this year. I hope that my blog posts have been helpful to those in need and to raise awareness to those unaware of the mental health struggle. New Years often mean new beginnings and new experiences, but for some of us, it's just the same old thing all over again.
please try to be understanding to those going through unspoken or imaginary illnesses. show them grace and don't be so hard on them.
you never know when someone is simply just trying to survive.
be the person that reaches out and gives those feeling down someone they can trust.
show compassion to those who are having a more difficult time than you.
most of all, love everyone.
thank you all for being here and supporting me. have a safe New Year's and I'll see you next year (aka next Tuesday)
xx Loryn
