international women's day

march 8th was international women's day and I just wanted to make a blog post about it!!!

from their birth, women have to fight for their place in the world.

we were seen as a man's property.

we weren't allowed to vote.

we were supposed to be "in the kitchen."

we make less money

and up until recently, we weren't allowed to hold leadership positions.

to me, this is just outrageous! men are seen as the "stronger, tougher, more mentally stable" gender and women are the "weaker, more emotional, more dramatic" gender.

first off, I want to say emotions have no gender...boys are allowed to cry too!! women are just more likely to be labeled as emotional and dramatic.

women are the ones that carry, nourish, and birth all genders.

women are caretakers and employees.

women can travel the world and live by themselves.

women can hold political positions and power.

women can be leaders and presidents!

stop shaming women for something that they cannot help. women are strong, tough, and can handle anything this world throws at them.

shoutout to all the women in my life that support and love me through it all. you know who you are!

xx Loryn
