happy new year!

it's 2022!

while that is both terrifying and exciting, I am not entirely sure what I think about it.

2021 was a roller coaster, but also a very good year overall.

while everyone creates 'new year resolutions' and follow through with them, they are not something that I really like to participate in.

years ago, I would write down my yearly goals and try to follow them for the coming weeks of the new year. but I would quickly give them up and forget about them.

I know that they work out for some people, but to lots they just are shallow ideas that they never truly try to follow through with.

to me, I think that we shouldn't have to wait for a new year to create resolutions for ourselves. I don't think that there should be 'rules' about when we have goals and want to work on new things. to me, we should be working daily on ourselves and bettering ourselves.

mental health is something that doesn't take breaks and takes lots and lots of work. mental health is not something that just some people deal with, it is something that everyone deals with. some people have healthy mental health and some have unhealthy mental health habits.

so while we are coming up on a new year, I urge you to think about ways to better yourself year round and if you do create new year resolutions, make them tangible and easier to maintain throughout the year and not just shallow ideas that you're not going to follow through with.

with that being said, this year we are going to dive into the mental health world and learn new things or more things that you might already know about.

I hope that you sick around and join me!

see you soon

xx Loryn
